*Doris was already a private practicing anesthesiologist and family physician when she obtained her B.S. Physical Therapy degree. After graduating in Physical Therapy, she continued to actively practice anesthesiology and family medicine, and concurrently worked as a Supervising Physical Therapist in the Physical Therapy Department of St. Paul Hospital in the Philippines. Her job description involved supervising physical therapists and physical therapy interns (who are doing their clinical rotation), treating in- and outpatients, doing initial evaluations, assessments, making individualized treatment and discharge plans. She also make recommendations and referrals to doctors, as necessary,and participating in multi-disciplinary treatment of patients. She has dealt with a wide range of conditions such as stroke, cerebral palsy, parkinson’s dse, neuromuscular disorders, sports in juries, musculoskeletal disorders, fractures, low back pain, myofascial pain syndromes, etc., and has worked with both geriatric and pediatric patients. She has incorporated her knowledge in medicine with her knowledge in physical therapy to better evaluate and managed her patients.
